Privacy
This covers two things: the FloStyle app on your phone or tablet, and this website. They are not the same, and the short version is that the app holds nothing about you and the website holds only what an organiser chose to make public.
What the app collects
Nothing. FloStyle runs on your own phones and tablets. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Scores stay on the device that made them and on the hub the day was run from, and nothing leaves your venue unless the organiser chooses to publish results to this site. Publishing is theirs to decide, it sends results and nothing else, and a paddler marked bib only goes up with their name withheld. Junior classes start that way.
What the website holds
Only the results an organiser chose to publish. For a competition that is its name, its venue, its dates, its rule set and its classes; for each paddler it is a bib number, a rank, a score and the scores of their runs, and a name and a nation unless that paddler was published bib only. We also hold the organiser's own name and email address, so we can reach them about their competition. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our host keeps a short server log of requests, which we use only to keep the site up.
Why
So that results are public. A freestyle competition is a public event and the point of publishing is that anyone can look up who won, check a class, or find their own score months later. We do not use any of it for anything else, and we never sell it.
How long
Until the organiser removes it. A published competition stays on the site while it is of use to the sport. An organiser can take theirs down, or ask us to, at any time, and once it is down it is gone from the site and from our backups within 30 days.
Who can see it
Anyone. A published competition is a public page with a plain address, it can be read without signing in, and search engines can index it. If a paddler does not want their name to be findable, the organiser marks them bib only and the results go up with their bib number instead.
Your choices
Ask the organiser of the competition to correct a score, remove a name or take the whole competition down, because it is theirs to change. If you cannot reach them, or you would rather not, email technical@lavalogic.co.uk with the competition and the bib number and we will do it. We do not need anything else to find you, and we will answer within five working days. You can also ask us for a copy of everything the site holds about you.
Children
Junior classes are published with bib numbers only, unless the organiser confirms they hold consent from a parent or guardian to publish names. The app has nothing to sign up to and asks a paddler for nothing, so a junior never gives us anything directly. If a junior's name is on this site and you did not agree to it, email us and it comes off the same day we read it.
